The one step cassette style HSV- I and HSV- II IgM test is a rapid test based on the principle of immunoassay combined with coniuaated colloid aold technoloav. The test is a diaanostic device for aualitative detection of specific antibodyIqM of HSV-Iand HSV-II in human serum(or plasma)specimen.
Summary
HSV-Iand HSV-Il test is one of the prenatal examinations to prevent teratism.Purified recombinant antigens of HSV-I and HSV-II pathogenes are precoated on membrane as a capture reagent at the test band region. If HSV- I and HSV-II IaM antibodies present in the sample and concentration above the labeled anti-human IaM-dve complex will be formed. This complex is then captured by antigens immobilized in the Test Zone of the membrane, producinc a visible pink co or band on the membrane. The color intensity will depend on the concentration of HSV- ano HSV-II IgM present in the sample.This one step test is very sensitive and only takes about 15-20 minutes. Test results are read visually without any instrument.
Test procedure
Dilute the serum(or plasma)specimen 50 times with diluent(eg.10ul specimen add 490ul diluent).
Open a pouch containing a cassette,remove the test kit from the pouch and place it horizontally on the desk.
Pipette 1 or2 drops of diluted specimen into the sample well of the cassette.
Read results within 10-15 minutes.Do not read results after 20 minutes.
